This gorgeous board is made from ONE FULL PIECE of locally sourced solid hardwood with one live edge-it is not several shorter boards glued together like you get in other boards. The design is carved into the wood, not laser engraved-which makes the design more subtle, elegant and refined and will not wear off in any way. The live edge has all bark removed and is sanded smooth. The board is then treated with a food-safe oil and board wax to bring out the beautiful grain of the wood and protect it from wear. Please note, the lettering is not colored in any way; it is naturally darkened by the oil finish due to the depth of the carve.
